Richard A. May, EA has been serving the Central Coast Area with individual and business Tax Preparation, Accounting, and Payroll Services since 2006. Richard successfully graduated from California Polytechnic State University in Pomona, California in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Richard lives with his spouse of forty years, Shirley, in the Nipomo area when they moved to the area from Sunny (and Hot!) Bakersfield. Richard and Shirley have two grown daughters, Misty and Annmarie. They live in Santa Clarita Area with their spouses and soon to be (and it will be soon) four GRANDCHILDREN.
In 1998 Richard sought employment by a small CPA Firm in Arroyo Grande as a bookkeeper and payroll preparer. In September 10, 2002, Richard completed training and certification testing by the Internal Revenue Service and became enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service. This license designation is commonly called an EA, which stands for "Enrolled Agent." The next four years Richard was engaged by the CPA firm to prepare around half of the firm's tax returns during the season. On November 1, 2006, Richard purchased the practice from the CPA and has been the principal owner since that time.
